I want to see nudism as common in the world, and robots doing many things. We have had different climates in history. A lifespan of 120 years is the entire human life, and I want to live to that age. I am 31 years old and I find that starting soon we will be able to normally live for 120 years. Let's end more diseases and cure all of them. We can space travel, to know other worlds and use limitless resources. I am so excited about the future. For my descendants who will be alive by 3000, this is a great future.
Reengineering the human body to adapt to enviromental changes will be a lot simpler than making technological creations to counteract them. In the meantime robots will be a big thing - a combination of robotics and AI to create 'machine slaves' that everyone will own. Not a joke but they will probably behave functionally similar to the robots in Woody Allen's Sleeper.

When touching the energy subject, you started talking about oil, which we all know it's going to finish, and I doubt very much that it'll last until the year 3000, but you completed the argument by saying that Earth will exhaust its renewables capacity. First of all, oil is not a renewable source of energy, solar and wind is and I think in the year 3000 the Sun will still be there and there might be even more wind around the Earth. Also, I don't believe that we'll still be burning oil in the year 3000. That would be a really backward and sad scenario. By then we'll surely have developed and unveiled other forms of energy harnessing.
The movies Wall-e and Idiocracy most likely got it right in their predictions for the future. If humans continue to get lazier, dumber and more obese then the year 3000 will be nothing to look forward to.
